WELCOME TO THE BOARD OF ORDINATION & CREDENTIALS

The Institute of the Board of Ordination and Credentials has been established to assist aspiring ministers and missionaries who are preparing for the written and oral examination for ordination and licensure.  The Institute is held at the PCEJ monthly meeting at 9 am, at the Holy Temple Community Center.

All Candidates are expected to be present for each session.  If you cannot attend class, you must promptly contact an institute staff member.  Also, you will need to arrange with a classmate to obtain the missed class materials.  Schedules and pertinent information about the course will be given at the mandatory introduction session.

Written and oral examinations will be based on the information provided in the Church of God in Christ Official Manual.  There are four mandatory seminars on Clinical Pastoral Care each Saturday in June.  These sessions will be held at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital.

APPLICATION PROCESS

The Candidate Application Form must be completed by the minister or missionary who their pastor has recommended for ordination or licensure.  The Pastoral questionnaire must be completed by the pastor.  A background check and the online Sexual MIsconduct training must be completed before the introduction session.
